Annual Chili Supper
It may not be seasonally cold outside but it’s always the right time for chili!
John and Elaine Kline have once again invited the Indiana Region Classic Car Club of America to their fabulous and historical North Meridian Street home for their annual Chili Dinner.
January 31, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
This event is one of our club’s most popular gatherings and 2020 won’t be an exception. The chili and other offerings for the evening are always amazing, lovingly prepared and graciously presented so you would enjoy the evening just with that. But there’s more. The Kline’s grandchildren are Master Soda Fountain Aficionados and demonstrate their cumulative years of experience by preparing the best ice cream desserts since Hook’s Soda Fountains left town. But wait, there’s more.
John has invited Darrel Burnett, Executive Director of The Automobile Gallery in Green Bay, Wisconsin to return to Indianapolis and talk to us about: That’s Life . . . or at Least my Version of it and How My Life Wound Up in a Museum. Many of you will remember Darrel when he was the main anchor with NBC/Sports channel America, and the Assistant Sports Director and #1 rated Anchor with WTHR-TV and WZPL-FM in Indianapolis including play-by-play for the Colts. But there’s still more. He has personal stories to share about Indiana legends such as Bob Knight, Gene Keady, Larry Bird and various Indy 500 drivers along with Phyllis Diller, Raymond Burr, Howard Cosell and John DeLorean among others.
It’s a Date Night – everyone will enjoy going back in time as Darrel unfolds the stories from a lifetime of being an insider. And that’s precisely where we would like to see you – inside the Kline’s beautiful home at 4343 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Reserve your place on line –IRCCCA.org – or call Don Shuck,317 374 8772. Cost is $25 per person. Reservation deadline is January 29th. As always, parking in the driveway if you’re over age 70 or have a medical reason. Otherwise consider N. Pennsylvania St. or E. 43rd St.
