Indiana to Ohio Overnighter - Indiana Region Classic Car Club of America

Indiana to Ohio Overnighter

IN Region CCCA Members;

Due to renewed interest in an August trip to Ohio locations the trip is back on the schedule.  If you would like to be a part of the trip you only need to do two things:

Number One:
The Thursday morning breakfast meeting place for the overnighter tour has been changed to the Crossing Restaurant at the intersection of highways IN 56/67 and IN 9. We will depart at 8:30 am. If you would like to arrive earlier for breakfast with other members please do so. The restaurant opens at 7:00 am.

Number Two:
The phone number previously provided for registration at the Holiday Inn Express at Wapakoneta is actually for a booking service that inflates the rates. Use Expedia or Trivago to pay $121.00 or less. If you reserved a room at a higher rate you may cancel up to one week prior to your stay.

If you are planning to go on the tour please let me know in case there is another update.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

That’s all there is to it!  No signing up, no itinerary set in stone, nothing more.  We will all be surprised to see who shows up on August 11.  There will be no brow beating, arm twisting, or follow up calls.

We will be doing a fair amount of driving to a restoration shop, a chrome shop, a bicycle museum, an astronaut’s museum, an Airstream Travel Trailer factory, and other places not determined until we are well on our way.  In other word’s we will be winging it at times.  This could really be fun!  We won’t know without trying.

Driving Modern is not encouraged, but acceptable.  You have 30 days to get your Classic ready.

Do you have some friends who would like to join us?  Bring them along!

Ladies, we will do everything possible to find things to do that you will enjoy.  With this open itinerary you can steer us in your direction.

If you have some questions, I will be happy to answer them.  Otherwise, I hope to see you on August 11.  Call or text me at 812-593-2701 or email at

Best regards,
Larry Pumphrey
