Quarterly Breakfast Gathering - Indiana Region Classic Car Club of America

Quarterly Breakfast Gathering

Several of you will fondly remember dining here a few years ago when we visited the Connersville History Museum. It is well worth a return visit not only for the step back in time surroundings but for the abundant menu and enjoyable fixings.  The fellowship and food will be worth your time and travel but there’s more!

INRCCCA member, Chris Friend, has planned this event for you to include a tour of the historic Elmhurst Mansion which was built in 1831.  It had been home to numerous politicians, Secretary of the Interior, was a station for the underground railway and home to a U. S. Treasurer.  A non-politician added on 26 rooms and turned it into a sanatorium, then a girl’s school, the Pennington Military Institute and now is home to the Connersville Masons. Do you think there will be any history to find here?

And just to make your trip well worthwhile, you will need to re-visit the History Museum showcasing the significance Connersville played during the formative and best years of the automotive era to include local production of the McFarlan, Cord and Auburn automobiles.  200 W. 5th St. 765 825 0946.  Did you know Connersville had the first high school marching band in the United States?

Daniel Girls is 1 hour and 22 minutes from the Wolfsonian (2225 E. 54th St, Indianapolis) via US 52.  The weather will be great, the scenery beautiful and the air crisp and fresh.  A great day to exercise your favorite automobile.

Please RSVP using INRCCCA.org or don_shuck@ml.com or call Don at 317 374 8772.  We would like to provide numbers to our host venues by 10/5/22. There is no cost for the overall event other than individually for breakfast and additional selected activities.  See you there.
