Many of you will recall one of our best tech sessions a couple of years ago when we travelled out to the Pumphrey’s and the Bohart’s for a great meal and a very entertaining and informative Q&A session in Dan’s workshop. Everyone enjoyed it! So on April 17th we’re expanding this event.
We will first visit Dan’s garage, 4183 S. CR 60 SW, Greensburg, IN 47240, where he will show and explain the many projects he has going on – complete classic car restorations, sheet metal work, electrical components, paint considerations and more – while answering your questions along the way. Those of you who have seen Dan’s finished projects will want to see how he does it. Those of you who haven’t will be impressed.
We will then break for lunch at the Big Sky Steak & Spirits, 1804 N. Memorial Way, Greensburg, IN 47240 (812 222 0025) If you happen to catch their menu online you may just decide to skip breakfast that morning! A lot of well-prepared favorites waiting for you.
Following lunch we will head on over to Tim Stone’s at 1186 E County Rd 500 N Greensburg IN 47240. Tim’s wife Kim was quoted in the Greensburg Daily News saying “We still love it when somebody comes in and tells us someone told them they can’t fix it. We love that challenge, and we’ll fix it”. That seems to apply to Classic automobiles too. A lot of your fellow members have dropped off their pride and joy knowing it will be returned ready to run the Summer CARavan in July. Tim says he has a couple of exposed engines that he’s working on that you might really want to see – a Packard 12 and a Super 8. Listen as Tim explains what he’s doing with each and what he expects the outcome to be.
Be sure to bring a notepad – there’s a lot of experience and knowledge to be shared on April 17th.
