How about we try something different? Larry and Carol Pumphrey have planned an IN Region event for Sunday, September 20 to replace the day originally planned for Conner Prairie.

• 9:00 am ET Meet at the Pumphrey’s for brunch outside on the patio and/or porch.
• 10:00-10:30 am ET Depart for drive to Madison IN (https://visitmadison.org/) and Clifty Falls State Park (https://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/2985.htm) on the Ohio River.
• 12:00 pm ET Arrive at State Park for picnic at the Cragmont Shelter House which has been reserved for our group.

We will enjoy our picnic lunch and visiting with friends. We might want to take a short hike on one of the many trails to see the beautiful natural formations and waterfalls, or we could visit the close by Clifty Falls Inn. Later we can take a short drive in to Madison to admire the many restored river homes.

So, you ask, what is different? NO MODERN CARS ALLOWED on this tour! We certainly don’t want to exclude anyone from participating. If you don’t have a Classic, or your car is not up to snuff, you need to find a ride with a friend who will be driving a Classic. If you can’t find a ride we will help you find one.

No cost to participate but entry into the State Park will cost $7 per car. Box lunches can be ordered directly from the State Park Lodge for $7.95 per person by calling 812-265-4135, option zero and arranging pick up.

There will be no cost to participate except $7.00 per Classic to enter the park and your personal expenses for lunch, etc. Box lunches are available at the Lodge and can be ordered by calling 45 minutes before pickup at 812-265-4135, chose option zero. The price is $7.95. The Lodge is close to our shelter.

Please register by September 10 if you plan to participate which will allow us to match up rides and riders.
